Troublesome Times....

There are times when I question what the world is coming to. These uncertain times have made this thought more potent than usual. I know that a government shut down has happened many times before. But this is the first time we have been in a serious war and a serious recession, and the government shut down. I know it has only been a week and this could all possibly be solved by the weekend. However, I feel the damage has already been done. I'm not just focusing on the government spending and the shutdown and the recession, I'm looking at the whole of the problems. The Patriot Act was when I first started to worry that things were going to get bad for the world. In my opinion, the day the patriot act was put into effect was the day the government turned their backs on the constitution and the way this country was set up. I know that the world will evolve and change many times in its existence so eventually some things are bound to be added and taken out of play. However it is years after the Patriot Act has been passed and everyday the Police, the FBI, the CIA and the politicians are disobeying our rights as American citizens. I don't believe that congress would be threatening to not pay our countries bills and shutting down the government over an argument had this bill never been passed. They would never have the gumption to be so bold if they had not been so used to abusing their power as our leaders. It is common knowledge that once a person takes a role as leader, and they learn how hard and how long they can push their people, they naturally believe that they are entitled to do as they wish, that they are above the rest. For example, Hitler had the same mentality as the patriot act. He didn't need a reason nor did he need to seek counsel to get what he wanted done to be done. He demanded it by abuse and fear. I have no doubt that this will happen to the government, for it is already in play. How long before we go back to the government having too much power. The checks and balances system is blown strait to hell at this point. We broke away from English rule so that we could be our own government, so that the people can be free and have rights. Now its going to come down to the government against the people. Eventually the people are going to have to put them in check and say enough is enough, we don't need this bill anymore. It should have never been passed due to how unconstitutional it is in nature. I think that in my lifetime, I am going to be living in a dictatorship. Once long ago a few men started out with an idea, and they worked to rally and gather enforcements to over throw the unfair and abusive leader. I feel the time will approach when our generation will have to do the same. The stakes are a lot higher than they were then. we have more weapons and more things that can bring people harm, most of which are in the governments hand. I'm not comfortable with that. I'm not comfortable with the amount of abuse of power and I'm not comfortable at all with the Patriot act being a part of our legal system and government. I think the first step in a revolution would be demanding that they take the patriot act out of play for good. Then we work on enforcing the checks and balances system, and begin to clean house in congress, the Senate and the white house. I don't expect it to be easy and to be honest I'm having a hard time even getting people to listen about the patriot act. most people are unaware that it even exists. The government has done well hiding the juicy details of just what that bill has in its long and well planned bill book. I fear that the people wont even care about it at all even if they did know about it because although they were born with rights, their not even sure what those rights include. The government has carefully planned the lack of information on the American peoples rights and the bills that the pass. How many bills are out there like this one that we don't even know about yet. I'm just all around sick about all of this. I don't know what to do or where to go to make this issue more known. I'm working hard to gather people together and educate them, but as hard as I'm working, the government is working harder to cover their tracks. This is not good for any of us. Don't you get it people. We have no rights right now, research the patriot act....then you will know why I'm so upset. Then you will understand why something needs to change. I pray for the sake of the people and the sake of our futures that this bill gets tossed ASAP!
